Jewish for Good
at the Levin JCC

1937 W. Cornwallis Road
Durham, NC 27705

The Jewish Food Festival is a celebration of flavor, connection, and care for our community.

Nosh your way through Jewish comfort foods and crowd-pleasers — from J Café classics like brisket, chopped liver, knishes, bourekas, pickles, rugelach, and egg creams, to delicious favorites including bagels, blintzes, kosher hot dogs, hummus, kugel, babka, and more from our community partners.

Enjoy food and drinks from beloved local spots and community partners like Brandwein’s Bagels, Isaac’s Bagels, Hummus Y’all, Bull City Burger and Brewery, Alyza’s Kitchen, Even Dough, The Parlour, and the Beit Am (as well as kosher options from Beth El Synagogue’s catering kitchen and Chabad of Durham-Chapel Hill) — alongside cooking demos, kids’ activities, live music, giveaways, and plenty of delicious moments for all ages.

Every bite makes a difference. All proceeds support Jewish for Good’s Food Pantry, which provides non-perishable food, fresh produce, and hygiene essentials to dozens of local families each month.

COME HUNGRY. LEAVE WITH A FULL HEART.

HEAR FROM FOOD PANTRY RECIPIENTS

“I really appreciate the support I received from the food pantry. It helped me during a difficult time and made a big difference in my life. The staff and volunteers were kind, respectful, and made me feel welcome. The food I received was fresh and helpful for me. I’m very thankful for this service and the people behind it. Every time I go to the food pantry, I receive so much food for myself, and I pick up for other people who cannot come. Thank you for allowing me to do that.”

“Pantry routine is well-organized, starts on time.  Personnel are always friendly and helpful.  Consistent access to pantry items and fresh produce as well as Jewish holiday goodies and challah! The love and kindness that is showed each time I come. This is such a friendly staff . There's a good variety of all the food items that I receive.  The toiletries are a plus, as well.  Thanks so much for all that you do..”

It has been a blessing to receive the items issued. I am thankful to have received all of the items. Love the fresh fruits and veggies and the challah bread.”

“The holiday bags are very welcome and very nice, with horseradish, gefilte fish, borscht, matzo, honey cake (in years past).”

“Thank you so very much. You have no idea how much Jewish for Good’s food pantry means to me. I never thought I would need such support. But this year I do.”
