Our Community

Jewish for Good is nestled in the Triangle area of North Carolina, primarily serving Durham, Orange, and Chatham Counties. The area known as the Triangle lies in the heart of North Carolina. It was so named because of three close-by cities that form a triad that houses three of the main universities found in this state. They are Duke University in Durham, The University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, and North Carolina State University in Raleigh.

The estimated population of the local Jewish community is:

  • Approximately 11,000 individuals that represent 4,100 households

  • Of these households, 52% live in Orange County, 41% live in Durham County, and 7% live in Chatham, Wake, and other surrounding counties

  • AND we are growing!  In the next 15 years, we can anticipate another 1,000 households joining our vibrant Jewish community
