Artist-in-Residence Program with Noga Segal
Beings May 23!

Calling all art lovers! We are thrilled to welcome Israeli artist Noga Segal as part of our month-long celebration of all things Israel in celebration of its 75th birthday! Even more exciting is Noga personal connection to Jewish for Good — as a Shlicha (emissary) at Camp Shelanu during the summer of 2018. Today, she is a renowned young photographer and student at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem.

Noga’s work focuses on documenting everyday life. She enjoys relishes the spotlight to small moments in our daily life that may normally go unnoticed. She will be looking for these small moments as she takes portraits during the first week of her residency that will end up on display during the last week. We’ll all get to enjoy the juxtaposition — and similarities — between her portraits of Israeli life and her work here in Durham.

In addition to her residency at the Durham Art Guild Gallery at Golden Belt, you’ll see a lot of Noga at Jewish for Good as she interacts and intersects with many of of regular programs and services.

Check out the schedule below, as well as some of Noga’s work:
